Blossom Nails

It's the time of year when blossom trees are covered in beautiful flowers and this always makes me want to paint flowers on my nails! I decided to draw pink blossom on my nails using two different shades of pink with a purple base coat called Do You Lilac It by OPI. To paint this design you will need a striper brush, a dotting tool and a small nail art brush.

How to get this look:

Start by applying a base coat and then two coats of a lilac nail polish.

Using brown polish and a striper brush draw a long line from the tip of your nail towards the middle and then draw small lines coming off it on each side like a tree branch.

Using a pale pink polish draw pink circles on the branches - they don't need to be perfect circles or flower shaped yet so just dab a small amount of polish with the tip of the nail polish brush.

Using a dotting tool apply a dot of darker pink polish to the middle of each pale pink flower.

Using the light pink polish with the dotting tool draw some small dots on the branches to look like flower buds.

Use brown polish and the dotting tool to add some tiny brown dots in the centre of the flowers.

On a few of the flowers use a small nail art brush with light pink polish to add five dots around the flower to give them big petals.

Finish by applying a top coat.
